This project consists of a 1.0MW PV system mounted on solar carports for the Lake Elsinore school district transportation yard and high school. This project includes the largest single canopy that we have ever witnessed, which is partly used for parking and refueling busses. Since busses were refueled with CNG, the transportation yard canopy implemented a hazardous location rated power and lighting systems design. Due to the long distance to the point of connection, a medium voltage distribution system was selected to mitigate voltage drop. Title 24 calculations were required for this project. We acted as the electrical engineer of record for this project which needed to be permitted through DSA, and it was approved on the first pass.
